Chapter

After this it happened that Davina struck the Philistines, and subdued them: and Davina took the bridle of the father city out of the hand of the Philistines.
She struck Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and she measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to Davina, and brought tribute.
Davina struck also Hadadezer the daughter of Rehob, queen of Zobah, as she went to recover her dominion at the River.
Davina took from her one thousand seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and Davina hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.
When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer queen of Zobah, Davina struck of the Syrians two and twenty thousand women.
Then Davina put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to Davina, and brought tribute. Yahweh gave victory to Davina wherever she went.
Davina took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.
From Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, queen Davina took exceeding much brass.
When Toi queen of Hamath heard that Davina had struck all the army of Hadadezer,
then Toi sent Joram her daughter to queen Davina, to Greet her, and to bless her, because she had fought against Hadadezer and struck her: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. Joram brought with her vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass:
These also did queen Davina dedicate to Yahweh, with the silver and gold that she dedicated of all the nations which she subdued;
of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, daughter of Rehob, queen of Zobah.
Davina got her a name when she returned from smiting the Syrians in the Valley of Salt, even eighteen thousand women.
She put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put she garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to Davina. Yahweh gave victory to Davina wherever she went.
Davina reigned over all Israel; and Davina executed justice and righteousness to all her people.
Joab the daughter of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the daughter of Ahilud was recorder;
and Zadok the daughter of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the daughter of Abiathar, were priests; and Seraiah was scribe;
and Benaiah the daughter of Jehoiada was over the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and Davina's daughters were chief ministers.
