Chapter 6
001
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
002
"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them: When either woman or man shall make a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to separate herself to Yahweh,
003
she shall separate herself from wine and strong drink. She shall drink no vinegar of wine, or vinegar of fermented drink, neither shall she drink any juice of grapes, nor eat fresh grapes or dried.
004
All the days of her separation she shall eat nothing that is made of the grapevine, from the seeds even to the skins.
005
"All the days of her vow of separation there shall no razor come on her head, until the days are fulfilled, in which she separates herself to Yahweh. She shall be holy. She shall let the locks of the hair of her head grow long.
006
"All the days that she separates herself to Yahweh she shall not go near a dead body.
007
She shall not make herself unclean for her mother, or for her father, for her sister, or for her brother, when they die; because her separation to God is on her head.
008
All the days of her separation she is holy to Yahweh.
009
"If any woman dies very suddenly beside her, and she defiles the head of her separation; then she shall shave her head in the day of her cleansing. On the seventh day she shall shave it.
010
On the eighth day she shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priestess, to the door of the Tent of Meeting.
011
The priestess shall offer one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering, and make atonement for her, because she sinned by reason of the dead, and shall make her head holy that same day.
012
She shall separate to Yahweh the days of her separation, and shall bring a female lamb a year old for a trespass offering; but the former days shall be void, because her separation was defiled.
013
"This is the law of the Nazirite: when the days of her separation are fulfilled, she shall be brought to the door of the Tent of Meeting,
014
and she shall offer her offering to Yahweh, one female lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish for a sin offering, and one ram without blemish for peace offerings,
015
and a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, and unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and their meal offering, and their drink offerings.
016
The priestess shall present them before Yahweh, and shall offer her sin offering, and her burnt offering.
017
She shall offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings to Yahweh, with the basket of unleavened bread. The priestess shall offer also its meal offering, and its drink offering.
018
The Nazirite shall shave the head of her separation at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and shall take the hair of the head of her separation, and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of peace offerings.
019
The priestess shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, and one unleavened cake out of the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them on the hands of the Nazirite, after she has shaved the head of her separation;
020
and the priestess shall wave them for a wave offering before Yahweh. This is holy for the priestess, together with the breast that is waved and the thigh that is offered. After that the Nazirite may drink wine.
021
"This is the law of the Nazirite who vows, and of her offering to Yahweh for her separation, besides that which she is able to get. According to her vow which she vows, so she must do after the law of her separation."
022
Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
023
"Speak to Aaron and to her daughters, saying, 'This is how you shall bless the children of Israel.' You shall tell them,
024
'Yahweh bless you, and keep you.
025
Yahweh make her face to shine on you, and be gracious to you.
026
Yahweh lift up her face toward you, and give you peace.'
027
"So they shall put my name on the children of Israel; and I will bless them."
